3. Place the hopper support bar (Figure SP-15. 16)
into proper position. Avoid contact with truck
exhaust pipe.
DANGER
Falling hopper can cause severe injury or
death. Hopper support bar must be in place
before working under the hopper.
CAUTION
Standing or climbing on truck frame may be
dangerous. Use caution. Do not step on side
broom disks.
4. Lower the conveyor to sweep position using the
Conveyor Up / Down switch (Figure SP-1, #24).
5. Loosen the jam nuts (Figure SP-17) and turn
the adjustment nuts on both sides of the upper
conveyor assembly. Counterclockwise will
increase tension. Clockwise will decrease ten-
sion.
