1. EL2316D TWO DOOR Controller
1.1
INTRODUCTION
EL2316D is Elid’s new 2-door controller that replaces EL2207
controller. EL2316D is different from EL2207 in the following ways:-
a)
EL2207 consists of a main board plus an expansion board,
EL2316D has everything built on a single circuit board whose
dimensions and mounting holes are identical to an EL2205. It
therefore occupies less space than EL2207.
b)
EL2207 only provides Entry readers. Exit readers are not
available. EL2316D is a full 2-door controller, and both doors can
have entry and exit readers. In short, you can connect 4 readers to
it.
c)
In EL2207, only door 1 can be fitted with EK9S serial
display/keypad. Door 2 cannot have a serial display/keypad.
EL2316D allows both doors to be equipped with EK9S
keypad/reader. Thus, you can connect 2 EK9S keypad to it.
EL2316D is therefore almost equivalent to 2 units of EL2205, but
packaged into a single controller. The only difference is that only
Door 1 is equipped with I/O (2 sensor + 6 outputs). Door 2 is NOT
equipped with I/O.

Keypad / Reader
Readers are for reading the ID number encoded on the identification
card. Keypads are to allow users to key in their PIN code. A keypad
module which consists of LCD display for showing EL2316D main and
sub menu and 4x4 keypad for programming purpose.
