Needle Position Misalignment
To check:
Select the pattern "
" and set the stitch width control at "6.5". Rotate the handwheel several turns
until the needle comes in the center needle drop position.
Turn the stitch width control from "0" to "6.5" and vice versa.
If the needle swings, correct it as follows:
Adjustment procedure:
1. Select the pattern
" and set the stitch width control at "6.5".
2. Rotate the handwheel several turns until the needle comes in the center needle drop position.
3. Remove the front cover (See page 6).
4. Loosen the setscrew A and C. Slightly tighten the setscrew A.
5. Adjust the position of the stitch width-adjusting arm B so that the needle does not swing when
rocking the stitch width-adjusting lever. Tighten the setscrews A and C.
6. Attach the front cover.
