8.5 Recommended Periodic Checks
It is recommended that periodic inspections are carried out at least every 24
months to make sure the device complies with the safety requirements and
delivers the required measuring accuracy, taking into account the valid
international and national standards and regulations. Use of the following
inspection record is recommended by a qualified person who has adequate
training, knowledge, and practical experience to perform these tests.
If the checks reveal faults or limits are exceeded, stop using the device and
contact our Service department (see chapter SUPPORT AND SERVICE)

Visual Inspection
Visual check for mechanical damage that could impair functions.
Device & accessories configured according this operating instructions and not changed?
Is the type plate legible?
Are the safety relevant markings legible?
Are the accessories used compatible?
Checking Functionality according the Operating Instructions
Switch the device on, connect a flow sensor and check the following points:
Does the LED light up (BioProTT FlowTrack and BioProTT FlowTrack DINrail) or the
display light up when the device is switched on?
Is the brightness increasable and reducible? (see chapter INITIAL SET UP)
Perform a function check in accordance with the Operating Instructions
(see chapter PERFORMING MEASUREMENTS ON TUBING SYSTEMS
USING
BIOPROTTTM CLAMP-ON TRANSDUCERS)
Clamp-On Transducer: Check coupling value with tube filled:
The acoustic coupling value must be sufficient (see chapter FLOW VALUE AND
COUPLING).
