9.2 Cleaning and Disinfection of the Clamp-On Transducer
Risk of ingress of fluids!
Make sure that cleaning agents or disinfectants do not enter the
device. The accessory connecting plugs must only be plugged in
when dry.
No machine cleaning or sterilization!
Clamp-On Transducers are not suitable for machine cleaning
methods. Sterilization methods, particularly steam sterilization and
autoclaving, must not be used.
Inspection following every cleaning/disinfection procedure
Check your Clamp-On Transducer for damage and wear following
every cleaning/disinfection procedure. To prevent the ingress of
fluid, check carefully for cracks or fractures and make sure the
insulation has not been damaged.
No ultrasonic cleaning!
Use of an ultrasonic bath is not permissible as this could adversely
affect the function.
Damaged sensors must not be used!
We recommend the use of commercially available domestic cleaning liquid or a
70% Isopropanol solution to clean the BioProTT
TM
Clamp-On Transducers. To prevent
encrustation, heavy soiling and residual ultrasonic couplant should be removed
immediately following each application.
All soiling must be removed in the clamping zone in particular.
