8. MAINTENANCE
Should legal provisions in your country specify
maintenance intervals, these must be observed.
The console and handpiece may need to be re-
turned for periodic servicing
8.1. HANDPIECE
8.1.1. Piston
When the piston has reached 1’000’000 shots, the following
screens appears, indicating that periodic replacement has
to be done on the piston using the BLUE maintenance kit.

Replace the piston using the maintenance
kit for the BLUE handpiece:

The QR code that will appear on your console
screen will lead to an EMS website allowing you
to order a new piston.
To change the piston, proceed as following:
1. Disconnect the handpiece from the device
2. Disassemble the piston
a. Unscrew the applicator and remove it from the
handpiece.
b. Unscrew the retaining nut and remove it from the
handpiece.

c. Pull on the protective cover to remove it from the
handpiece.

d. Push the end of the bayonet towards the handpiece
and turn it to release the bayonet.
