Assign simulation process variable (2328)

Navigation Expert → Diagnostics → Simulation → Assign proc. var.
Description Use this function to select a process variable for the simulation process that is activated.
The display alternates between the measured value and a diagnostics message of the
"function check" category (C) while simulation is in progress.
The simulation value of the selected process variable is defined in the Value process
variable parameter.

Prerequisite One of the following options is selected in the Assign simulation process variable
parameter:
• Level
• Level linearized
Beschreibung Use this function to enter a simulation value for the selected process variable. Subsequent
measured value processing and the signal output use this simulation value. In this way,
users can verify whether the measuring device has been configured correctly.
Input range Depends on the process variable selected
Factory setting The current value of the selected process variable at the moment the simulation is
activated.
Switch output simulation (0462)
Navigation Expert → Diagnostics → Simulation → Switch output simulation
Description Use this parameter to activate or deactivate the simulation of the switch output.
