Switch output function (0481)
Navigation Expert → Output → Switch output → Switch output function
Description Defines the function of the switch output (open collector).
Options • Off
The output is always open (not conductive).
• On
The output is always closed (conductive).
• Event level
The output is normally closed and is only opened if a diagnostic event is present. The
Assign diagnostic level parameter (→  116)determines for which type of event the
output is opened.
• Limit
The output is normally closed and is only opened if a measured varaible exceeds or falls
below a defined limit. The limit values are defined by the parameters Assign
limit(→  116), Switch-on value(→  117)and Switch-off value(→  117).
• Digital output
The switching state of the output tracks the output value of a DI function block or the DI
output of the advanced diagnostics. The function block is selected in the Assign status
parameter.
Factory setting Off
Assign diagnostic level (0482)
Navigation Expert → Output → Switch output → Assign diagnostic level
Prerequisite Only visible for Switch output function = Event level.
Description Defines to which class of diagnostic events the output reacts.
