Constant gas phase compensation factor
If the properties of the gas phase (pressure, temperature, composition) do not change over
the time and are known, a gas phase compensation can also be performed without a
reference signal. Instead, a constant, user-defined correction factor is applied in this case.
This factor is used to adjust the envelope curve and thus the measured echo distance.
