Step 2: Tilt the outboard motor to the shallow water position (you will feel a click) and release
it. The motor will now stay in this position, angled 36° outwards from the transom.

3.4 Anti-grounding Mode
The ePropulsion eLite has an Anti-grounding Mode, in which the shaft is free to kick up if it
encounters an obstruction (eg rock). It’s also useful when running into shallow water, such as
approaching a beach.
When in anti-grounding mode reverse gear must not be used, as the propeller may
kick up out of the water and cause injury.
