Conguring the Administrator Password
When you set the administrator password, you can prevent the users from changing system management settings.
You can change the administrator password using either Web Cong, the printer's control panel, or soware
(Epson Device Admin). When using the soware, see the documentation for each soware.

Important:
e initial value of the administrator user name is blank (nothing is entered), and the initial value of the
administrator password is the product serial number. Check the product serial number on the label on the printer.
We recommend that you change the initial password as soon as possible to prevent unauthorized access.

Changing the Administrator Password from the Control Panel
You can change the administrator password from the printer's control panel.
1. Select Menu on the printer's control panel.
2. Select General Settings > System Administration > Security Settings.
3. Select Admin Settings.
4. Select Admin Password > Change.
5. Enter the current password.
6. Enter the new password.
7. Enter the password again.
Note:
You can restore the administrator password to the initial password by selecting Restore Default Settings on the Admin
Password screen and entering the administrator password.
Changing the Administrator Password Using Web
Cong
You can change the administrator password using Web Cong.
1. Access Web Cong and select the Product Security tab > Change Administrator Password.
2. Enter the current password in Current password.
3. Enter the new password in New Password and in Conrm New Password. Enter the user name, if necessary.
