Transferring into/out of the wheelchair

Remove the arm support on
the side where transfer is to
take place.
From the front
Lifting the wheelchair
Lift the wheelchair by the push handles and the front upper
part of the frame or by lockable leg supports. Remove or
swing non-lockable leg supports (fixed, elevated, amputee)
in under the seat.
Before lifting in the push handles, make sure the knobs/
locking handles are properly tightened/locked and that the
safety buttons have popped out below the brackets.

Never stand on the
foot plates.
Turn the castor wheels forwards and
activate the brakes.
Turn the castor wheels forwards, activate the brakes, flip
up the foot supports and twist the leg supports to one
side.
Check that the leg supports are locked before lifting.
