3.8 Engine Instrumentation
The helm station is equipped with a set of engine
instruments and/or alarms. These instruments
allow the operator to monitor the operational
condition of the engines. Close observation of
these instruments allows the operator to operate
the engines at the most ecient level and could
save them from serious costly damage.
Most Everglades boats are equipped with Yamaha
engines and a Command Link LCD multifunction
display. This system can be integrated with the
electronic navigation equipment installed on your
boat. A brief description of the integrated gauges
and their basic functions are listed in this section.
Other functions that are dependent on the elec-
tronics installed on your boat may be available.
Refer to the Yamaha engine and Command Link
display owner’s manuals and the manuals for
the electronics installed on your boat for detailed
information on the operation of the instruments
and additional functions available.
