Raw Water System
pump is equipped with a strainer on the intake
side of the pump. The strainer should be checked
frequently and cleaned as necessary.
Whenever the boat is left unattended, the Raw
Water switch should be turned o.
Washdown Hose Connectors
A quick-release fresh water washdown hose
connector is located on the starboard aft side
of the cockpit. The connector has an automatic
valve that is always closed until the washdown
hose is connected. The hose requires a special
tting that snaps into the connector and activates
the automatic valve. The cover on the connector
should always be closed to keep the connector
clean when the washdown hose is not attached.
Contact your dealer for information on replacement
ttings and hoses.
Make sure the Raw Water switch is on before using
the washdown hose.
DO NOT ALLOW THE WATER PUMP TO RUN DRY. THE
PUMP WORKS ON DEMAND AND WILL NOT SHUT OFF
AUTOMATICALLY IF NO WATER IS AVAILABLE. THIS CAN
RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE PUMP. ALWAYS TURN THE
RAW WATER SWITCH OFF WHEN THE RAW WATER SYSTEM
IS NOT IN USE.
8.3 Baitwells
Seawater is provided to each baitwell by a 12 volt
circulation pump. These pumps are designed to
carry a constant ow of water to each well. The
pumps do not have a pressure sensor and are
activated by the Baitwell Pump switches. There
is also a light in each well that is activated by the
Baitwell Light switches.
An overow built into the drain system automati-
cally controls the water level in each well. Always
turn the pumps o when the wells are not in use.
To ll a baitwell, insert the plug into the drain t-
ting at the bottom of the well. Make sure the ball
valve for the pump and the supply valve in the
well are open. Then activate the pump. When
the water level reaches the overow, it will begin
to circulate.
