6.Raisetherearofmachineupandsupportwith
jackstands(orequivalentsupport)justhigh
enoughtoallowdrivewheelstoturnfreely.
7.Startengineandmovethrottlecontrolaheadto
fullthrottleposition.Movethespeedcontrol
leverstothefullspeedandrunforseveral
minutes.Shutdownmachineandrecheckoil
level.
Note:DoNotchangehydraulicsystemoil(except
forwhatcanbedrainedwhenchanginglter),unless
itisfelttheoilhasbeencontaminatedorbeen
extremelyhot.
Changingoilunnecessarilycoulddamagehydraulic
systembyintroducingcontaminatesintothesystem.
CheckEngineCoolantLevel
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Note:Iftheenginecoolantlevelisbelowthe
indicatorlineontheoverowbottlewhenthe
engineiscold,thecoolanttemperaturegaugemay
notregistercorrectlyduringoperationand/or
thewarningbuzzermaynotsoundiftheengine
overheats.
1.Stopengineandwaitforallmovingpartstostop.
Makesureunitisonalevelsurface.
2.Checkwithenginecold.
3.Viewcoolantlevelinoverowbottleontheleft
sideoftheenginecompartment.Coolantlevel
shouldbeattheindicatorlineontheoverow
bottle.
4.Ifthecoolantlevelislow,openhoodorraise
radiator,removethecaptotheoverowbottle
andlltotheindicatorline.Unitsshouldonlybe
lledwitha50/50mixofDex-Cool©extended
lifecoolantandwater.Dex-Cool©canbe
identiedbyitsorangecolor.
WARNING
Enginecoolantishotandpressurizedand
radiatorandsurroundingpartsarehot.Sprayor
steamfromhot,pressurizedliquidintheengine
coolingsystemandtouchingahotradiatormay
causesevereburns.
Allowtheenginetocoolcompletelybefore
removingtheradiatorcaporservicingany
componentofthecoolingsystem.
CAUTION
Enginecoolantistoxic.Swallowingcoolantcan
causepoisoning.
DoNotswallow.
Keepoutofreachofchildrenandpets.

Allowtheenginetocoolcompletelybefore
removingtheradiatorcaporservicingany
componentofthecoolingsystem.

3.Draincoolantwhenengineiscool.Coolantmay
bedrainedfromtheradiatorbyremovingthe
drainplugintherightrearcorner.Theengine
blockmaybedrainedbyremovingtherear
radiatorhoseand/orbyopeningthedraincock
ontheright-handsideoftheengineblock(see
Figure17).
