Section 3: Programming
All ECC programming is done using the built-in web-based programming utility. It is recom-
mended that tone selection, message repeat cycles and background music options be reviewed and
approved by the local AHJ.
To start programming, use a standard CAT5e Ethernet cable to connect a personal computers IP
port (Ethernet) to the IP port (Ethernet) J2 on the main control board (right side of the board). Set
the computers local area network connection address as follows:
IP address: 169.254.3.5
Subnet mask: 255.255.0.0
Activate the PC’s web browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer version 8 or Mozilla Firefox). Enter
the following in the browsers navigation bar:
http://169.254.3.3
The main menu will display and allow further menu navigation.

This product incorporates field-programmable software. In order for the product to comply with the requirements in the Standard
for Control Units and Accessories for Fire Alarm Systems, UL 864, and in the standard for Communication and Control Units for
Mass Notification Systems, UL 2572, certain programming features or options must be limited to specific values or not used at all
as indicated below:
