Parameters of the charging curve
NOTE: The graphic display of the UIU charging curve displays the
basic principle and symbolises the functionality.
Parameter Meaning Corresponding menu item in
"battery charger"
U
min
Battery voltage at which the battery charging generator is started
automatically.
min. voltage [V]
U
n
Constant charging voltage (absorption voltage), until the charging current
has dropped to the minimum value I
min
.
absorption-voltage [V]
U
float
Once the battery has been charged, the float voltage ensures that the fully
charged condition of the battery is maintained throughout the float time
T
float
.
float-voltage [V]
I
min
If the minimum charging current is not achieved, the battery is fully charged.
At this point in time, hysteresis T begins and continues until switching to the
float voltage U
float
.
min. current [A]
I
max
Maximum charging current flowing to the battery. max. current [A]
T Once this time has elapsed, the system switches over to the float voltage
U
float
.
hysteresis [ms]
“On” – Battery guard is activated, automatic generator start/stop is active.
The generator is started automatically if the battery voltage drops below the
minimum U
min
.
“Off” – Battery guard is deactivated, automatic generator start/stop is
deactivated.
battery guard [On/Off]
T
float
Once the float time has elapsed, the generator is stopped automatically if
the battery guard is activated.
float-timeout [min]
