Technical Description Multi-DENCO

activated and both run at the same time. As the direct expansion circuit uses a high
efficiency inverter compressor, running the FreeCool circuit at the same time reduces
the operating point of the direct expansion circuit, further increase performance and
energy efficiency.
If the outdoor ambient temperature is within a pre-defined range of the control tempera-
ture set-point (default set-point minus 5K), the FreeCool circuit will deactivate and the
direct expansion circuit will continue by itself. When the outdoor ambient temperature
lowers and the temperature difference is greater than the setting, the FreeCool circuit
becomes "available" and operates depending on the cooling demand.
WaterCool
(W-Version / P-Version only)
Cooling of the room is performed using refrigerant (the same as A-Version and F-Ver-
sion respectively), but instead of using outdoor air for heat rejection, the heat is trans-
ferred into a water circuit through a heat exchanger contained within the watercool
module.
The heat transferred to the water circuit can then be rejected through drycoolers, cool-
ing towers or similar, or used in heat-reclaim methods where appropriate. If such meth-
ods are used, it is important that the watercool module is provided with consistent water
temperature within the operating limits.
Note: P-Version is provided with drycooler for heat rejection.
