● Based on the preplanned installation position and electric conduit arrangement, the installer may choose to remove the knockouts
or plug in aGate, where all knockout holes are 1-23/64” in diameter while the plugged holes are 7/8” and 2-15/32” in diameter
respectively.

How to Removing the Knockouts?

Put a 1/4”X4” flat head screwdriver against the
black spot printed on the knockout hole, and then
tap it with a claw hammer.
Keep knocking until the rest of the knockout rotates
loose.
Use pliers to twisting back and forth until the
attachment points snap.
Pull out the rest of the knockout. Remove any
remaining burrs with a de-burring tool.
How to Removing the plugs?
Hand turn the plug nut
counterclockwise until the nut is
removed. Then remove the plug.
