5 ADVANCED FUNCTIONS
5.1 Master / Slave
NOTICE
The function is available starting with eProWallbox rmware
version 2.9 and later.
The Master/Slave function allows a group of eProWallboxes to be managed in a
harmonized way. The main function of the Master/Slave is to manage the power
distribution between the wallboxes of the group according to the maximum power
available at the point of connection. Based on the ongoing charging sessions, the
power will be dynamically allocated between the wallboxes of the group.
Connection conguration
The Master wallbox is connected to the Slave wallbox via Modbus RS485 in daisy
chainconguration.
NOTICE
When sizing the group of wallboxes in Master/Slave conguration,
ensure to have available the minimum power indicated below at the
point of connection:
• For a single-phase installation, the minimum power required is 2 kW per
wallbox installed
• For a three-phase installation, the minimum power required is 6 kW per
wallbox installed
Example: for a group of 2 wallboxes in single-phase, at least 4 kW is
required
NOTE
CN9 and CN10 ports must be used to implement the daisy chain connection:
When making the connection, the CN9 and CN10 connectors are interchangeable.
