Using The OBD Port

CAUTION

• Do not install any AIM2™ components in close proximity to hot or moving vehicle parts.

• The AIM2™ module should be mounted out of harms way, but remain accessible for service and

troubleshooting.

1. Select a mounting location for the AIM2™ module. Recommended locations are under the dash

or under the seat on the same side of the vehicle as the fuel tank’s filler neck. Consider the

distance from the OBD Port to the mounting location. The OBD Diagnostic Pass-Thru cable must

connect between the AIM2™ module and the OBD connector. The cable is 48 inches long and

cannot be extended. Mount the AIM2™ module in the selected location.

NOTE

Installations in Canada require the use of two 12 gauge wires to ground the AIM2™ module to a

chassis ground.

2. Using 12 AWG THHN wire, make a ground connection between the AIM2™ ground connector

and the vehicle/equipment chassis.
