Clean the AIM2™: if an AIM2™ is removed from one vehicle for installation in another, the
module should be “cleaned” to ensure proper programming and operation in the new vehicle. This is
the only procedure through conventional means which will remove one protocol and recognize
another. “Cleaning” an AIM2™ will change the interface to NONE. When reinstalled in a different
vehicle, the interface must be detected before it can be programmed. Step 8 provides instruction for
resetting the interface to match the new vehicle. As with other FMU AIM2™ options, access to the
MAIN MENU is only possible by first reprogramming the AIM2™ module.
NOTE
AIM2™ programming may be initiated with a Supervisor Prokee
®
/Smartcard or an AIM2™
Programmer Prokee
®
/Smartcard. The following instructions begin using a Supervisor
Prokee
®
/Smartcard. Procedures when using an AIM2™ Programmer Prokee
®
/Smartcard begin with
the display shown in step 3.
1. Insert a Supervisor Prokee
®
/Smartcard. The following will be displayed:
* SUPV: 1=SYSTEM, 2=PM, 3=ODOM, 4=AIM *
* A=CONFIG, B=ISSUES, C=TANKS, D=EXIT *
