Settings in BIOS Setup
In BIOS Setup you can set the system functions and the hardware configuration of the notebook.
When it is delivered, the notebook is set to factory default settings. You can change these settings
in BIOS Setup. Any changes you make take effect as soon as you save and quit the BIOS Setup.
The BIOS Setup programme contains the following menus:
System information: for the hardware information of the notebook
Basic System Settings: for date, time
Startup Configuration: for the configuration of the system startup
Onboard Devices Configuration: for the configuration of the serial and parallel port
System Security: for setting up the security features
Load Default Settings: for restoring the default settings
Start BIOS Setup
Ê Restart the notebook (switching ON/OFF or warm boot).
Ê When the message Press <F2> to enter SETUP appears, press the key [F2].

If a password has been assigned:
Ê Enter the password and press the Enter key.
If you have forgotten the password, contact your system administrator or contact our
customer service centre.
The BIOS Utility start window appears on the screen.
