Connecting external devices
Read the documentation on the external device before connecting it.
With the exception of USB devices, always remove all power plugs
before connecting external devices!
Do not connect or disconnect cables during a thunderstorm.
Always take hold of the actual plug when disconnecting a cable. Never pu ll the cable!
Connect and disco nnect the cables in the orde r d escribed below.
Cable connecting
► Switch off all affected devices.

► Remove power plugs from the mains outlets for all device s.
► Plug all cables into the device a nd peripherals. Please make sure that you always
observe the safety notes provided in "
Important notes", Page 9.
► Plug all da ta communication cables into the sockets provided for the data
/ telecommunication networks.
► Plug all p ower cables into the grounded mains outlets.
USB d evices are hot-pluggable. This means you can connect and disconnect
USB cables while your device is switche d on.

Disconnecting cables

► Unplug all
data communication cables from the utility sockets.
► Unplug all cables from the device and peripherals.
