Connecting a monitor
Depending on the configuration, you can use the mo nitor ports on the ma inboard (1) or the m onitor
ports for an optional display adapter in one of the board slots (2) to c onnect a mo nitor to your device.
If you have opted for a device with an integrated display adapter and an optional display
adapter, the integrated display adapter is first deactivated on attaching the optional display
adapter. You need to activate this function first in the BIOS setup .

Only attach th e monitor to your device when it is switched off.
► Follow the
instructions contained in the monitor manual to prepare the monitor
for operat
ion (e.g. connecting cables).
► Connect the data cable to a suitable monitor port on the device (DVI-I, DisplayPort).
