Indicators on the device
The indicators are on the front of the casing. Which indicators are available on your
device dep ends on the c onfiguration level you have s elected.

1 Drive indicators
The indicator li
ghts up when the CD-ROM or DVD drive of the
device is acces
sed. You must never under any circumstances
remove the CD/D
VD while the indicator is lit.
2 Power-on indi
cator
Caution: In energy-savin g mode the device must not be switched
off with the main power switch (if present) or disconne cted from
the mains, as this may result in d ata loss.
• The indicat or is illuminated:
The de vice is switched on.
•Theindicatorisflashing:
The device is in energy-saving mode. After being switched on
with the O N/OFF switch, the device powers up or returns to the
state it was in before it entered energy-saving mode.
• The indicator is not illuminated:
the device is switched off (power switch at 0 or disconnected
from the mains) or is r eady. If the device is ready it can be
switched on with the ON/OFF switch.
3 Hard disk indicator The indicator lights up when the ha rd disk drive in the device
is being accessed.
In energy-saving mode the device must not be disconnected fro m the
mains supply, as data loss may occur.
