Drive Interface Ports
This port is used to connect drive enclosures.
When the controller enclosure is a 2.5" type, this port is not used.
The drive interface port specifications are shown below.

MNT Port/RMT Port
The MNT port is used for operation management and the RMT port is used for the remote support function.
The specifications for the MNT port and the RMT port are provided below.

SCU
A System Capacitor Unit (SCU) is installed in a controller as a backup power source in case of power outage.
The SCU is charged from an external power source while the ETERNUS DX is running normally. If a power fail-
ure is detected, the data in the cache memory is saved to the BUD in the controller by using SCU. There is no
limit to the post-failure data retention time.
PWC Ports
The PWC port is used to connect a power synchronized unit to perform power synchronization.
The PWC port specifications are shown below.

4.1.2 Power Supply Units
The power supply unit transforms input AC power from a power socket to DC power and supplies power to
each component. A controller enclosure has two power supply units. Each power supply unit contains fans.
If one of the power supply units fails, the failed unit can be replaced while the system is running.
