The LCD screen of the notebook is difcult to read

Reected glare Turn the notebook or alter the tilt of th e LCD
screen.
Increase the brightness of the screen.
The external monitor rem
ains blank

Monitor is switched o ff. Switch the external monitor on.
Power saving has been activated (monitor is
blank).

Adjust the brightne

The external mo nitors AC cable or data cable is
not c onnected properly.
Switch off the external monitor and the
notebook.
Check whether the AC cable is plugged
properly into the external m onitor and into
the power outle t.
Check whether the data cable is properly
connected to the notebook and the external
monitor (if it is plugged in with a connector).
Switch on the external monitor and th e
notebook.
