Hardware installation Connecting devices to the server
One VGA port (1) and three additional USB ports (2) are located on the front of
the server (figure 9):

Connecting the keyboard, mouse and monitor
Ê Connect the keyboard and mouse to the USB ports of the server.
Ê Connect the monitor to one of the two VGA ports at the front or rear.
I If you connect a monitor to the VGA port at the front, the VGA port at
the rear is deactivated. A monitor connected to the front must have at
least the same resolution as the monitor connected to the rear. A
console bypass is not possible via the VGA port at the front.
I If a separate graphics card is installed in a slot, the graphic controller
on the system board is automatically deactivated. The corresponding
monitor port can not be used. Plug the data cable of the monitor into
the monitor port of the graphics card.
Ê Connect the power cable of the monitor to the mains socket strip of the rack.
I The rated current for the monitor is indicated on the technical data label
on the monitor or in the operating manual for the monitor.
