Figure 73: Installing the serial connector
Ê Insert the long slot cover with the serial connector in slot 7 (1) as described
in the section "Installing expansion cards" on page 73.
Ê Route the cable in the bracket on the right (2) as shown in the photo.
Ê Connect the free end of the cable to the COM2 connector on the system
board (3).
Ê Reinstall system fan 2 (or 2&4) as described in the section "Installing system
fan 2 (or 2&4)" on page 108.
Ê Close the server, connect it to the power outlet, and switch it on as described
in the chapter "Completion" on page 107.
