Accessible drives and LSD/LSP
7.3 Installing the multibay
The multibay can be equipped with a slimline DVD and a ServerView Local
Service Panel (LSP) or a ServerView Local Service Display (LSD).
Ê Open the server as described in the chapter "Preparation" on page 27.
Ê Remove the dummy cover from one 5.25-inch bay for accessible drives (see
figure 22 on page 54).
Ê Detach the EasyClick rails from the dummy cover by removing the four
screws on each side (see figure 23 on page 55).
V CAUTION!
Keep the dummy cover for future use. If you remove the multibay again
and do not replace it with a new drive, the dummy cover must be
reinstalled to comply with EMC regulations and to satisfy cooling
requirements and fire safety protection measures.
