  If scanning does not start on your Fujitsu Scanner, ensure the USB cable is correctly connected, especially checking the hub's power supply if one is being used. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the AC adapter/cable. If the 'ScanSnap Manager' icon isn't visible, start it from the [Start] menu under [Programs] - [ScanSnap Manager]. Additionally, close the 'Scan and Save Settings' window before scanning.

  The scanning speed of your Fujitsu scanner might be slow due to your computer's CPU and memory not meeting the system requirements. To improve speed, uncheck 'Allow automatic image deskew' and 'Allow automatic image rotation' in the 'Scan and Save Settings' window under the [Scanning] - [Option...] menu. Also, if your PC has a USB 2.0 port, ensure the scanner is connected to it, and the USB hub also supports USB 2.0 if one is being used.

  If scanned images are not displayed when “Allow automatic blank page removal” is enabled on your Fujitsu Scanner, right-click the “ScanSnap Manager” icon on the task tray, select [Setting…] – [Scanning] tab, click the [Option…] button, and unmark the “Allow automatic blank page removal” check box.

  If your Fujitsu Scanner is not recognized even after installing ScanSnap Manager, go to the [Start] menu, select [Control panel] - [System] - [Hardware] - [Device Manager]. Delete the "Other Device" selection in the [Device Manager] and then restart your PC.

  If paper is not feeding correctly and stops midway in your Fujitsu Scanner, clean the Pick roller following the instructions in “5.3. Cleaning Inside of the scanner.” Alternatively, refer to “6.3. Replacing the Pick Roller.” for instructions on replacing it. Also, ensure there is no debris obstructing the document feeding path.
