Errors
Error Indication
If an error occurs while the scanner is used, the indicators on the operator panel light up as follows.
For temporary errors
The check indicator turns on or turns off.
The power indicator stays on.
For device errors
The check indicator flashes.
The power indicator stays on.
Temporary errors can be recovered by the operator, whereas device errors may require troubleshooting by a
service engineer.
HINT
Error Recovery Guide is started up and the icon is displayed in the notification area located at the far right of
the task bar when you logged onto Windows.
When an error occurs on the scanner, the error name and code number is displayed in the Error Recovery
Guide window.
Take note of the displayed information and click the [More Info] button to check the troubleshooting
procedure.
