Background light ing
LCD screens are operated w ith background lighting. The luminosity of the b ackground
lighting can decrease during the period of use of the notebook. However, you can
set the brightness of your monitor individually.

Ambient light sensor
If your notebook was shipp ed with a Windows operating system, the screen brightness is
regulated by the ambient light sensor and is dependent on th e particular light conditions.
This results in optimum readability and longer battery life at the same time.
Using the device as a Tablet PC
You can execute co
mmands as follows:
using the stylus
(supplied with your device).
using your nger
Using your ngers
You can execute certain comm ands by using your nger tip on the touchscreen o f yo ur device.
Alternatively, everything which you can select or activate using your nger
tip can also be selected or activated using the stylus.
Calibrat
ing the Dual Digitizer for nger-based operation of the device
Please see chapter "Calibrating the stylu s", Page 34 for instructions on how
to calibrate your device to use Dual Digitizer Technology.
Please note: The re are separate calibration programs available for calibrating
the stylus and for calibrating nger-based operation. Do not use the calibration
tool for the stylus to calibrate nger-based operation.
