Changing the supervisor password or user password
You can only change the supervisor password when you have logg ed into the
BIOS Setup Utility with the s upervisor p assword.

► Start the BIOS Setup Utilit y and go to the Security menu.
► When changing the password, proceed exactly as when assigning a password.
Removing passwords
To remove a password ( without setting a new passwo rd) perform the following steps:

► Start the BIOS Setup Utilit y and go to the Security menu.
► Highlight the Set Supervisor Password or Set User Password field and press the Enter key.
You will be requested to enter the c urrent password by the Enter Current Password prompt.
Enter New Password will appea r and you will be requeste d to enter a new password.
► Press the Enter key twice at this request.
► In the Exit menu, select the option Save Changes & E xit.
► Select Yes and press the Enter key.
The notebo ok will now reboot with the password removed.
With the supervisor password, you simultaneously deactivate the user password.

ooting of the operating system.

► Start the BIOS Setup Utilit y and go to the Security menu.

► Select the Password on B oot option and press the Enter key.
► Select the option y ou require (Disabled, First Boot or Every Boot) and press the enter key
► Select the Save Changes & Exit option under Exit.
The notebook will reboot. You will be prompt ed to ente r your password (th e su pervisor password).
Deactivating system protection
► Start the BIOS Setup Utilit y and go to the Security menu.

► Select the Password on B oot option and press the Enter key.
► Select the Disabled option and press the Enter key.
If you d o not want to change any other settings, you can exit BIOS Setup Utility.
► Select the Save Changes & Exit option under Exit.
The notebook will reboot. The system is no longer password-protected .
