5.3.2 Electronic
Stability Program (ESP)
ESP can effectively reduce the risk of sideslip.
On and off
ESP is on by de
fault when the car is running. Click
the button
in “Drop-
down Menu” interface of
the AV system to turn off ESP. At this time, the
indicator lamp on the instrument cluster lights
up and an alarm message is displayed.
NOTE
For cars with AV main unit, turn on or off
ESP by “Car Settings Drive Assist
ESPOFF Button” of the main unit.
When the car speed is above 80km/h, ESP
will be automatically turned on.
When the car speed is less than 80km/h, if
ESP is turned off, press the button
to
turn it on again.
ESP indicator lamp
After the engine start/stop button is switched
to “ON” position, the indicator lamp and
will be on for a few seconds and go out
after the system completes self-test.
If ESP works during driving, the indicator
lamp will flash.
After ESP is turned off, the indicator lamp
will light up.
Wh
en ESP is faulty, the indicator lamp will
light up.
After the engine is started, if the indica
tor lamp
lights up, it indicates that ESP has been
turned off, and the instrument cluster display
shows an alarm message. You can try to turn off
and then on the engine start/stop button to
activate the system again. When the indicator
lamp goes out, i
t indicates that the system
has fully entered the working state.
If the battery connector is disconnected from and
then connected to the cable, the indicator lamp
may come on when the engine start/stop
button is turned on, and then goes out after a
short driving distance.
For driving safety, ESP should be turned on. The
ESP function can be disabled in the following
special cases:
When the car travels with tire chains.
When the car travels on roads covered with
deep snow or on soft grounds.
When the
car is trapped on muddy roads,
etc., and you need to move it back and forth.
