2-16 ApexPro™ Telemetry 2001989-203C
Equipment overview
NOTE
This is different from ApexPro in that ApexPro admit requests are sent to a
selected tower, not a specific receiver.
NOTE
The master tower cycles CDT–LAN admissions through all available receivers,
so the admit/discharge/admit sequence does not exclusively use the same
receiver over and over. This is done because, if a particular receiver
malfunctions, and the user discharges and then readmits a patient, the next admit
will go to a different receiver.
ApexPro admit request forwarding
If the admit request was determined to be of ApexPro telemetry type, the admit
request is sent to the selected ApexPro tower, the tower assigns the admit to an
available receiver and the admit is processed.
NOTE
This is different from CDT-LAN. CDT-LAN admit requests are sent to a selected
receiver, not a specific tower.
NOTE
The master tower cycles ApexPro admissions through all available towers, and
subsequently, the towers themselves cycle admissions through all available
receivers. This is done so the admit/discharge/admit sequence does not
exclusively use the same receiver over and over. This is done because, if a
particular receiver malfunctions, and the user discharges and then readmits a
patient, the next admit will go to a different receiver, potentially on a different
tower.
Service utilities
