WARNING:
Only use Ohmeda probes; other manufacturers probes are not calibrated to GE Healthcare
equipment. Using probes from other manufacturers may cause inaccurate temperature
readings, may not comply with safety standards, and will void your GE Healthcare
equipment warranty.
WARNING:
When using phototherapy lamps, the probe must be directly in the path of the radiant
heat of the lamp; do not place the probe in an area shielded from the lamp’s light. The
phototherapy lamp may raise the baby’s skin temperature

Do not use rectal temperatures to control the baby’s temperature

WARNING:
Do not remove the probe from its storage bag until required for use. Replace the probe if
the cable or tip becomes damaged.
WARNING:
Do not re-use a disposable probe. Cleaning and reusing a single use probe may damage
the probe and result in inaccurate readings.
