Collect a Trouble Image with Logs (continued)
Use a log to if the user wants to send information to GE. There
are two methods to follow:
The subsequent file is compressed and time stamped. The
screen capture is a bitmap which eliminates the possibility of
artifacts from compression.
• To save log files and an image snapshot, press Alt-D, select
the save logs function, and fill in the form. Use a USB flash
drive or CD-R to store the log(s). When you fill out the form,
fill in the system behavior you saw, plus any other
comments. Fill in the check box if the system crashed.
• To save log files and an image snapshot, press Alt-D.
Describe the issues, then select to store logs to
D:\SERVICE. Select ContactGE in Serivce Menu, then
complete the form of Contact Information, Problem Type
and Problem Description and select Send.
