Thefollowinglistsummarizesthevariouswaysofsavingandprintingthesystem
congurationsettingssoyoucanrestorethemtothenewmainboardafteritis
installed.
•Ifthesystemisfunctionalandallowsyoutosaveandprintthesystemconguration
settings,proceedwiththestepsinthissectionbeforeremovingthedevice’s
mainboard.
•Ifthereisanotherdevicewithidenticalsystemcongurations,performthesteps
inthissectiononthatdevice.ThenusetheSDcardtorestorethesettingstothe
deviceonwhichyoureplacedthemainboard.
•IfthesystemcongurationsweresavedtoanSDcardandprintedduringinitial
installation,usethatinformationtorestorethesettingsafterinstallingthenew
mainboard.
•Ifthepreviousthreealternativesarenotpossible,thestepsinthissectiondonot
apply.Youneedtomanuallyreenterallofthesystemcongurationsafterthe
replacingthemainboard.
1.InsertanSDcardintheSDcardslotofthedevice.
2.OntheMainMenu,pressF5(SystemConguration).
3.PressF6(More)>F6(More)>F3(ExportSetup).
4.HighlightthesystemsetupleyouwanttoexporttotheSDcard.
5.PressF1(Export).
6.Whenthefollowingmessageisdisplayed,pressF6(OK):Congurationwas
successfullyexported
7.RemovetheSDcardandstoreitinasecurelocation.
PrintingtheSystemSetupReport
IfyouwanttosavetheSystemSetupforadditionalreference,printtheSystemSetup
reportaftertheFRUreplacementprocedure.
1.OntheMainMenu,pressF5(SystemConguration).
2.PressF6(More)>F3(PrintSetupReport).
3.MovethefocustoCompleteSetupandpressEnter.
TheSystemSetupreportprints.
4.Savetheprintedsetupreportinasecurelocation.
Youcanusethereportasareferenceifyouneedtorestorethesystemsetup
manually.
NOTE:
Optioncodesarenotpartofsystemcongurationsettings.Thesecodes
arelistedonthelastpageofyourprintedsetupreport.Thesecodesare
alsofoundonalabelnexttothebatterycompartment.Theprintedlistof
optioncodesisamoreconvenientaidtouseifyouneedtoreenterthem
afterinstallingthenewmainboard.
