Z Move to the
S3 DIGITAL INPUTS Z GENERAL INPUT A ZV INPUT NAME
message:
The name of this user-defined input will be changed in this example from the generic
“Input A” to something more descriptive.
If an application is to be using the relay as a station monitor, it is more informative to
rename this input “Stn. Monitor”.
Z Press the decimal [.] key to enter the text editing mode. The first
character will appear underlined as follows:
Z Press the
VA L U E keys until the character “S” is displayed in the first
position.
Z Press the decimal [.] key to store the character and advance the cursor to
the next position.
Z Change the second character to a “t” in the same manner.
Z Continue entering characters in this way until all characters of the text
“Stn. Monitor” are entered.
Note that a space is selected like a character. If a character is entered
incorrectly, press the decimal [.] key repeatedly until the cursor returns
to the position of the error. Re-enter the character as required.
Z Once complete, press the
ENTER key to remove the solid cursor and
view the result.
Once a character is entered, by pressing the
ENTER key, it is
automatically saved in flash memory, as a new setpoint.
