SOLAR PANELS
Solar pack is equipped with 6 solar panels (optional) producing 1.4 kW of power (peak power). They are wired
2 parallel x 3 series and they are connected directly to LiPo battery via relays K8 & K9. Relays K8 & K9 are
operated by BMS solar output. BMS opens relays when LiPo voltage rises above 53.8 V and closes them when
LiPo voltage drops below 52.8 V.
The peak power depends on solar radiation, on angle of incidence of solar radiation, on cleanliness of solar
panels and on shadows of masts in marina and radar mast when sailing.
RECOMENDATION!
To keep the best performance keep solar panels clean
WARNING!
Cleaning of solar panels is dangerous task. It must be done by
professional only. Fall from the roof can result in serious injury or
death.
TECHNICAL ROOM
The technical room is the location of most electrical components such as batteries, chargers and boxes.
Technical room is located under the steering console beneath the carpet and the wooden board (Pic. 06).
Electrical components in the technical room are:
- Battery charger (12 Vdc)
- Service box
- Main AC/DC box
- 2x Diode splitters
- Negative bus bars
- PORT engine battery
- STBD engine battery
- Service battery bank
- Inverter/charger (48 Vdc)
- Hybrid control unit (HCU) for STBD electric motor (with DC/DC converter and connection box)
- Hybrid box
The mains voltage is
switched
through and the charger
operates in equalize mode.
The AC input is switched
through. The AC output current
is equal to the preset
