4. Wipe all surfaces with a soft, damp, lint-free cloth. Microfiber cloth works best. You can use a microscope detergent,
for example Reagena, which consists of Propan-2-ol and ammonia. (The Ocus®40 scanner has been tested with the
Reagena microscope detergent.)
5. Put the cover plate back.
6. Slide the topmost plate back to its normal position.
7. Connect the cables and switch the scanner on.
8. Verify that the image quality is good by scanning a known sample slide.
When cleaning, note the following:
The cover plate is the only detachable part in the scanner. Do not try to detach other parts, like objective.
Do not use disinfectant wipes containing bleach or disinfectant sprays in general.
Do not use extremely damp disinfectant wipe to clean the scanner.
Do not let any liquid sit or pool on the scanner.
Do not use rough towels or clothes to dry the scanner.
Do not use excess force when cleaning the scanner.
