5 Cooling system
To dissipate heat timely and ensure system stability, the switch uses a high-performance cooling
system. Consider the site ventilation design when you plan the installation site for the switch.
On the S5130S-28C-HI, S5130S-52C-HI, S5130S-28C-PWR-HI, S5130S-28S-UPWR-HI, and
S5130S-52C-PWR-HI switches, the fan trays draw in ambient air from the left side panel and
exhaust the air from the right side panel, as shown in Figure5-1.
On the other S5560S-EI & S5130S-HI series switches, the fan trays draw in ambient air from the left
side and port side panels and exhaust the air from the right side panel, as shown in Figure5-2.
