15.1. BATTERIES REPLACEMENT
To replace the batteries follow the next steps:
• Turn OFF the instrument by pressin ON/OFF.
• Open the batteries cover by pressing the locking clip.
• Take out the used batteries and insert four new 1.5 AA size batteries, paying attention to the correct
polarity as indicated on the battery compartment.
• Replace the cover and press it until it locks.
Warning: Replace batteries only in a non-hazardous area.
15.2. USING AN AC ADAPTER
In laboratory you can use an AC adapter to power the HI83749. Simply connect the AC adapter to the
instrument (see Connectors Description).
It is not necessary to turn the instrument off when connecting the external adapter.
Note: The connection to the external adapter will not recharge the batteries.
