8 General Notes
0 Susceptibility of Monitors to Magnetic
Fields
Strong magnetic fields may have an influ-
ence on the monitor screen (e.g. could
cause an unstable screen or flicker). This
could be caused by the magnetic fields of
50/60 Hz power lines routed underground
or inside the wall.
One or more of the following corrective
actions may help, while observing the
safety regulations for office working places
including monitors:
– place the monitor at a different loca-
tion
– shield the source (e.g. shield the cable
duct)
– change the power supply cable routing
– shield the monitor with a metal cover
0 Optical Parts
Please avoid any contact by metallic objects
with optical parts.
