9. Quality Control
Onboard QC Test
The Element COAG+ utilizes a number of internal quality methods to
ensure proper operation. The built-in quality control of the instrument
automatically monitors critical conditions before and during the testing
period. The onboard quality control of the test strip detects the signal
characteristics of two channels. By identifying possible problems such
as test strip defects and operational issues, we are able to ensure the
accuracy of the test results.
Failure of Quality Control test will result in the instrument displaying an
error code. Please repeat the test utilizing a new test strip.
Liquid QC Test
Optional liquid controls are available for use on the Element COAG+
Analyzer and are to be used with Element COAG+ Test Strips to verify
performance. It is recommended that two levels of liquid controls be used.
Only use qualied Element COAG+ Controls for QC
testing.
The specic procedure for external QC test are as follows.
