6.1.3.6 Rack System Variables
These system variables are used to change the behavior of the controller while it is operating in
specific states. The system parameter can be accessed by double-clicking the gray background
of the rack or selecting the Detail View context menu and opening the System tab in the
Hardware Editor.
Output Variables
Variables that are not selected in the Input Variables column through a tick, are output
variables.
Setting for safe
operation
Prevents the forcing process from starting and
terminates a running forcing process.
The default setting is FALSE.
Emergency
Stop 1…Emergency
Stop 4
Shuts down the controller if faults are detected by
the user program.
The default setting is FALSE.
After the controller is started, the access
permissions are downgraded to Read-Only.
Exceptions are forcing and reload.
