within the brush holders.
Thecarbonbrushescaneasilyberemovedafterremovalof the brush
caps(seeFig.36)with a slotted (minus)screwdriver.

About Handlingthe Motor (seeFig. 1)
Winding of the motor issaid to bethe heart of this tool. Exercise
utmost caution not to damagethe winding by exposing it to wash
oil or water.
NOTE:
Accumulationof dustandthe like insidethe motorcanresultin a
malfunction.
Afterusingthemotorfor 50hoursorso,carryoutno-loadrunning,
andblowin thedryair from awind holeat themotor'srear.Such
actionis effectiveto dischargedustandthe like.
5. Inspecting the screws
Regularly inspect each component of the power tool for looseness.
Re-tighten screws on any loose part.

componentsareloose.
6. Inspectingthe lower guard for properoperation
Beforeeachuseof the tool,testthe lowerguard(seeFig.7)to assure
that it is ingood condition and that it movessmoothly.
Never usethe tool unlessthe lower guard operatesproperlyand it
is in good mechanicalcondition.
7. Storage
After operation of the tool has been completed, check that the
following hasbeen performed:
(1) Trigger switch is in OFFposition,
(2) Power plug hasbeenremovedfrom the receptacle,
(3) To prevent unauthorized operation of this tool, insert a padlock
through the hole in the switch trigger.
Whenthe tool is not in use, keepit stored in a dry placeout of the
reachof children.
8. Lubrication
Lubricatethe following sliding surfacesonce a month to keepthe
power tool in good operating condition for a long time (seeFig. 1
and Fig.2). Useof machineoil is recommended.

* Rotaryportion of vise assembly

Cleaning
Periodicallyremovechips,dust and other wastematerial from the
surface of the power tool, especiallyfrom the inside of the lower
guardwith a damp,soapycloth.Toavoida malfunctionofthemotor,
protect it from contactwith oil or water.

If the laser line becomesinvisible dueto chips andthe likeadhered
onto the window of the laser marker's light-emitting section,wipe
andcleanthewindow with a drycloth ora softcloth moistenedwith
soapywater, etc.
