2. Tunnel communication
2.1 Overview
Tunnel communication is a function that employs a LAN environment to input
communication from external unit of the same contents as RS-232C serial
communication to an IJ Printer connected to a network.
The transmission contents as the same as RS-232C serial communication.
Please refer to 1.1 Overview in this manual for the types of communications.
Only one external device can be connected.
The response time for the inquiries may vary depending on the network
environment.
2.2 Preparing Tunnel Communication
(1) Preparing Network Connection
Prepare a LAN cable to connect the IJ Printer to an external device.
For connection, refer to Communication User’s Manual (Common) for details.
(2) Set Communication environment
Set “Tunnel Communication” to LAN function of LAN communication on Communication environment
setup screen.
